Product Details

In belt conveyor systems, the trough-shaped support is a core component responsible for carrying and transporting materials. Its design directly affects the efficiency and stability of the conveyor system. By adopting a trough-shaped structure with a specific angle, this support shapes the conveyor belt into a concave form, thereby increasing the contact area between the material and the belt and enhancing the conveying capacity. Common trough angles include 30°, 35°, and 45°. Among these, the 45° trough-shaped support, with its wider bearing surface, is particularly well-suited for high-capacity conveying applications—such as in mining and power plants—where heavy-load transportation is required.

Slot-type supports can be categorized into two types based on their functions: basic-type and self-aligning-type. The basic-type support secures the conveyor belt at a fixed angle, ensuring smooth material transport. The self-aligning-type support, on the other hand, features a deflectable structure—such as a linked design between side and central supports—that enables automatic centering correction. When the conveyor belt deviates from its intended path, the support uses the axial displacement of the idler rollers to guide the belt back to the center, effectively reducing material spillage and equipment wear. For example, a certain model of self-aligning support employs a dual-idler roller shaft groove design, paired with limiting blocks that precisely control the deflection angle, achieving high-precision centering correction while maintaining low friction.

In terms of materials, groove-type supports are typically made of carbon steel or stainless steel, with surfaces treated for rust prevention to ensure suitability for outdoor or corrosive environments. Their structural strength must meet long-term load-bearing requirements—for example, a certain standard support can withstand the load from rollers with a diameter of 159 mm and is suitable for conveyors with belt widths ranging from 1000 to 1400 mm. During installation, the supports are secured to the conveyor frame using bolts; the spacing between supports is adjusted according to the belt width and material characteristics, ensuring smooth and reliable conveyor belt operation.
